Support Grassroots Efforts!

LGBT2SQIA+ rights groups in Africa often face violence, hostility from the police, and government resistance to being officially registered as charities, which seeks to undercut their credibility and fundraising abilities. These groups work on meager funds to fight an uphill battle, and any support is greatly appreciated.

One awesome way to support the cause is to, in leiu of gifts, request money be donated to these organizations in your name on your birthday. You can also raise money on Facebook and other social media or fundraising platforms. A little goes a long way, and you can simultaneously raise funds and awareness.

Pick an organizatiuon you like, one that sticks out to you, or as many as you would like. Donate $5, $50, or $500, depending on what is within your means. Take the "They" pledge.
